SAG Awards: Kim Kardashian

What a refreshing change to see Ms Kim Kardashian leave the smoky eye alone for the Red Carpet this time. I love this fresh face look on her. You could even see a little sparkle in her eye which normally hidden with 2 or 3 pair of false lashes. I believe this wonderful look was done by her regular makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. Kudos's to them both!

I love it!

SAG Awards: And the winner is...

I have a love hate relationship with the SAG Awards. I love what it stands for. I mean nothing could be more amazing than being recognized by your peers as the best. Its got to be the most honoring and humbling experience in any ones career. But at the same time it always tends to be the most uneventful awards show of them all.

This year was pretty much the same. The only real excitement was seeing my girl Betty White get her first nomination and receiver her first SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, Hot in Cleveland. I think she is so cute and so freakin funny.

Here she is in the middle of her speech after she realized the SAG Award trophy was a well defined male body....hilarious...it was so priceless.

SAG Awards Red Carpet Hair Trends

It was so exciting watching the Red Carpet of the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards tonight. The hair trends really stood out the most to me. One of my favorites was "THE BUN". It was worn every which way you could think of. Neat or textured, wavy or sleek, loosely to the side or high and tight, but almost all had a side part with a side bang. Here are some of my favorite leading ladies sporting there pulled back tresses.

Dianna Agron of "Glee" had a side swept bang with a bun in the back. I thought it looked really nice on her. I'm still not sure about this makeup look on her but that's another story and another blog.

Tina Fey's big side bun and side swept bang looked amazing with her gown and it was so great to see her in some color for a change. Way to go Tina!

The gorgeous Kim Kardashian look so fresh an beautiful in her loose side bun and side bang.

Mad Men's Cara Buono looks really good as a blond and I like the full bang and the loose tendrils hanging around the face.

I fell like I'm saying the same thing about Nicole Kidman at every awards. I don't like the messy hair look. She keeps doing this windblown or just got of bed thing that I just really don't care for.

Jennifer Lawrence went for no bang and a large bun pulled straight back.

Full bang and large side bun are worn well by Ms Ellie Kemper.

Over all I thought it was great award hair, what do you think?

Dream Big Dreams

I have always looked for things that make me want to be better, push a little harder, or to just make me smile about the possibilities rather than the reality. I definitely feel like I'm what the "nay sayer's" like to call a DREAMER. As a dreamer I am searching for new thing to learn, to love, and to be. The journey to all these things is just as important as the final achievement.

Which bring me to the new addition to my blog....."Dream Big Dreams". It's for my own personal motivation as well as yours. Check back often to see what the next inspirational quote will be.

To The Top of the Rock with the Browne's

Hasn't mattered where I have lived I rarely take the time to see the city for all it really has to offer. I'm ashamed to admit I even lived on Oahu for 4 years, never went to the other islands and barely saw the island that I was on. I blame it on being young and not appreciating culture or the opportunity to grow. Well this is the year for big changes. I mean how can you live in New York and not explore. So as much as I hate looking like a tourist I am going to be the biggest tourist you can be.

Gloden Globe: J-Lo Past and Present

Here are a few images of our amazing J-Lo as she has graced the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards and my how she has grown up. I think you can tell where she was in her life by her style. She definitely looks like a more elegant version of herself now.

68th Annual Golden Globe Awards

Stellar Awards: And the winner is

With so many Awards shows happening around the same time it can be difficult to keep track especially if they arent airing live. Unfortunately the Stellar Awards will have to wait for their time media metions when they air in syndication between January 22 and March 6th (check your local listings).

This is the 26th Annual Stellar Awards was help in Nashville Tennessee on January 15th and are considered the "Grammy's of Gospel Music". They honored Donald Lawrence with the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award, Kirk Franklin with the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award and Vanessa Bell Armstrong with the Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legend Award.

Interesting fact: Derek Blanks and Ken Barboza won the award for 'Recorded Music Packaging of the Year', the BeBe and CeCe Winan album "Still". You may be more familiar with Derek Blanks amazing photography work on America's Next Top Model or Real Housewives of Atlanta and Ken Barboza is the owner of a talent management agency representing photographers, hair stylist and makeup artist. A big congratulations to them both.

Golden Globes: And the Winner is.....

So tonight was an amazing and inspiring night at the 68th Annual Golden Globes. From the exciting red carpet through to the last award presentation, it was full of great moments.

My ultimate favorite was the surprised look and wonderful speech given by Chris Colfer of Glee after winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. The expression on his face was priceless and for a first time acceptance speech it was awesome...."the kids that our show celebrates that are constantly told no by bullies in their school and they can't be who they are...Well, screw that, kids."

Surprise surprise that Paul Giamatti of Barney's Version beat out 2 time nominated Johnny Depp for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical. I thought for sure Depp would have won, he was nominated for 2 diferent roles in the same category, but I also haven't seen Barney's Version so I have to add that to the list of must sees.

The big winner of the evening was The Social Network, taking home 4 awards.

Well I hope you all were watching and enjoyed the show as much as I did (glass of wine and all...lol). Let me know if you want to be invited to movie night when I start to catch up on all the award winning films I missed this past year.

Critics Choice: And the winner is.....

So it looks like I will be either making a few trips to the movies, ordering some on pay per view or hitting up the netflix or red box for all the movies I missed this past year. They seem to be really good ones because they won all the awards.

Side note - I was gonna add "buy them bootleg" but I try not to condone such behavior. The movie lady is always in the laundry mat tempting me, well so is the sock man and the perfume man but that's a different story...lol.

The Most important awards was Best Makeup, AND THE WINNER IS... 'Alice in Wonderland' and I did see that movie so I of course was rooting for it to win.

OMG!!! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself enough to type this post. As the owner of the complete Wonder Woman series and the new animated movie that was released in 2009 I consider myself a die hard fan. I wore my underoos til they fell apart....lol.

Snowmageddon, Snowpocalypse or Day after Tomorrow!!!!

What ever you want to call it....IT'S HERE!!!

But of course my roomie thinks its cute...

From Blog

Ry and Ty playing in the snow.

From Blog

He's such a snow dog.

From Blog

And to think he was raised where its sunny all the time.
He fits right in....in the blizzard...lol.

From Blog

you know its bad when the streets of New York are empty.

OK Hello Kitty Lovers!!!!!

This post will have a special meaning for my bff, being the big Hello Kitty fan she is she may have already heard the news about the launch of Sephora's Hello Kitty Collection this month but just incase anyone has missed it here are a few pics of what to expect.....

So hurry and sign up on Sephora.com to get the official notice of the launch date.

I'm geeked to be Gleeked from my Fingers to my Toes

I must admit, I am a huge fan of the hit TV series Glee but I didn't see this one coming. WWD reports the fav musical comedy-drama will have its own line of nail polish carried in Sephora stores by February. It will also be available in Sephora-JCPenney stores and Sephora.com retailing at $9.50 each.

The seven shades carried thru the Sephora by Opi line are actually quite cute. The names of the colores are definitely geared toward the avid fan "Slushied, an opaque blue; Hell to the No, a bold purple; Gleek Out, a lime, glittery green; Diva-in-Training, a poppy pink; Who Let the Dorks Out, a peacock green; Miss Bossy Pants, a rich raspberry, and Mash-Up, a pearlescent green gray".

So get ready to ask for you Glee mani and pedi. Personally Im geeked about trying the "Hell to the No" bold purple color on my toes. So wish me luck that survive the mob of Gleeksters eager to make the same purchase.

Cover Girl Go's Green with Taylor Swift

Cover Girl not only has a new line of products but a new face to go with them. The new Cover Girl Natureluxe line features products made with natural ingredients like cucumber water and jojoba extracts while its Eco-friendly packaging.

To help launch this product they needed a fresh face......Taylor Swift. I must admit she looks stunning in the ads and the commercial looks even better. She sure did set the bar pretty high for those ANTM girls. If this 20 year country singer can bring it to the table like this then its looks pretty bad for the 15 cycles of models that were clawing for a chase to hold the name of Cover Girl.

I'm not a big Taylor Swift fan but I think she looks pretty good, what do you think?
